Every state, and every city is said to have “the worst” drivers. But which cities actually DO have the worst drivers in America? Using data collected from AllState in their America’s Best Driver Report for 2019, one company found the 50 cities on the list with the least amount of best driver’s, aka the worst drivers! They then created a map of the 50 cities that made it to the top of the worst list, which you can find below.

It certainly seems like the lower West Coast and upper East Coast are the biggest hot spots in the country for bad drivers. We’ll narrow in on the absolute worst ones below where I’ll cover the 5 cities on the list where you’re most likely to get into an automobile accident. These cities were rated the worst based on a few factors including the likelihood of getting into a collision when compared to the national average, the average years between a collision, as well as the number of hard-breaking events every 1,000 miles.

The 5 U.S. Cities Where You Have The Highest Chance of Getting Into A Car Accident

  1. ) Baltimore, MD was found to be the city where you’re most likely to get into an automobile accident.

Years between collisions: 4.19 ( far below the 10.57 national average)

Relative collision likelihood: 152.5%

Hard-Breaking Events every 1,000 miles: 30.58 (national average is 19)

2.) Washington, D.C.

Years between collisions: 4.36

Relative collision likelihood: 142.3%

Hard-Breaking Events every 1,000 miles: 27.21

3.) Boston, MA

Years between collisions: 4.89

Relative collision likelihood: 116.5%

Hard-Breaking Events every 1,000 miles: 26.12

4.) Worcester, MA

Years between collisions: 5.14

Relative collision likelihood: 105.6%

Hard-Breaking Events every 1,000 miles: 26.87

5.) Glendale, CA

Years between collisions: 5.31

Relative collision likelihood: 99.0%
