Many of these positions are competitive, desirable, and well-compensated, leading to many of these workers holding degrees. The team at Qualtrics studied what majors degree holders in this position studied and created an infographic showing us all the details.

These were the ten most common degrees to find among customer experience workers:

  1. Business: 31% of workers
  2. Communications: 8%
  3. Social Sciences: 8%
  4. Psychology: 6%
  5. Education: 6%
  6. Visual and Performing Arts: 5%
  7. Engineering: 4%
  8. Health: 4%
  9. Biology: 3%
  10. English: 3%

The team offered further data breaking down how many had a Bachelors, Masters, Professional, and Doctorate Degree. Business degrees offer diverse knowledge on business operations, marketing, and customer management making them well suited for the tasks in this role. People who find their niche in customer experience can earn several certifications that will give them a path to advancement and greater success.
